Digital Qualification Exemptions
- Students who have completed a CIM Professional qualification level 4 and above can be exempted from the Marketing and Consumer Behaviour unit of the new Diploma in Digital Marketing qualification.
- Students who have completed the CIPR Postgraduate Diploma in Public Relations can be exempted from the PR unit of the CAM Diploma in Marketing Communications or the same unit of the new Diploma in Managing Digital Media.
- Students who have completed e-Marketing award since 2006 (when it was last revised) can be exempted from the Digital Marketing Planning unit of the Diploma in Digital Marketing qualification.
- Students who have completed the Marketing and Consumer Behaviour unit as part of their CAM Diploma in Marketing Communications course can be exempted from this unit of the new Diploma in Digital Marketing qualification.
- Students who have completed the units Advertising and Public Relations as part of their CAM Diploma in Marketing Communications Diploma can be exempted from these unit of the new Diploma in Managing Digital Media.
- Students who hold a valid marketing degree which is also listed in the CIM Entry Points Policy are exempt from the Marketing & Consumer behaviour unit.
How are CAM and CIM related?
In 2000 the CAM Foundation formed an alliance with The Chartered Institute of Marketing and since then CAM qualifications have been managed and awarded by the Institute. All students studying for a CAM qualification must retain CIM membership for the duration of their studies. In simple terms, CAM is treated as a part of the Institute which delivers marketing communications focused qualifications, yet the CAM Foundation remains a separate entity with its own Board of Trustees.
