John Conley gained an MBA from Cass Business School, and joined the Four Square Division of Mars Inc, as an Operations Manager, mainly on the strength 5 years as a Stage Manager with the National Youth Theatre!
Purchasing, Logistics and Marketing Management roles followed with Mars before becoming the Head of non-food Purchasing, first for Chef and Brewers 1,200 Pubs and then with Guinness Brewery at Park Royal. He moved to the Forte Company as Food Purchasing Controller, for all Brands such as Little Chef and Welcome Break plus over 140 Hotels, including the Grosvenor House.
Progressing to Managing Director of ABE Equipment, then the Food Factor, he started Lecturing in Marketing with Bucks New University in 2002, qualified as a Lecturer and also became a CIM tutor, at Amersham and Wycombe College.
Main areas of experience are in Food and Food Services, Marketing and Purchasing. Particular interested in Services, B2B and Retail Sector, promoting the concept of mutuality of benefits in the Supply Chain through developing good client and customer relationships.
