Course Structure

This course comprises three modules; Applied Marketing (mandatory), Planning Campaigns(mandatory) and Customer Insights (elective). The modules can be studied in any order and the elective module selected will determine the qualification you gain.

Two out of the three modules are examined by a work-based assignment. Students work with one of our expert tutors, who will guide you through the assignment process and the study timetable. Your tutor will assist you across the assignment cycle, answering any questions you have and providing feedback on a plan and draft submission.

Applied Marketing is assessed by a multiple-choice examination. For this module, students are requested to submit homework and complete a mock exam to assist in preparation for the exam. This module will require you to book your examination with the CIM at a local exam centre. For students who wish to take their exam outside of the UK, there may be an additional charge for this.

Planning Campaigns

Campaign planning is an important part of a marketing role. This mandatory module will enable you to gain the knowledge and skills to plan and implement successful campaigns, using a variety of online and offline media. You will learn how to undertake a situation analysis to frame your campaign as well as how then to set suitable campaign objectives. The module will also provide you with the skills to implement and monitor campaign success. This unit is assessed by assignment.

Applied Marketing

Applied Marketing is a mandatory module across both the Certificate in Professional Marketing and Certificate in Professional Digital Marketing.  The module is designed to provide students with a knowledge of the role marketing plays within an organisation as well as enabling you to understand key marketing concepts and theory. You will gain an understanding of how to apply the marketing mix in a range of scenarios and how it can be adapted to suit customer needs and business goals.

Customer Insights

This is an elective module for the Certificate in Professional Marketing. This assignment-based unit will enable you to gain an understanding of changing consumer behaviour and how to create a customer experience to meet buyer needs. You will gain an in-depth understanding of the customer journey as well as how to measure and monitor it to make improvements in the future.

Entry Level Requirements

The Certificate in Professional Marketing is equivalent to a foundation degree and is designed for marketing assistants and executives or those with marketing as part of their job role.

Most students who study at this level have either a relevant Level 3 qualification or have worked in a marketing role for at least a year.

Course Start Dates

The Certificate in Professional Marketing modules can be studied in any order. For classroom-based courses, delegates can start in September, January or May, while online distance learning can be started at any time.

Pricing

The Certificate in Professional Marketing course starts from £420.00 per module for online distance learning and £645.00 per module for classroom based learning. Your CIM membership or assessment fees are not included but support and access to study materials for 3 years are incorporated as part of the fees.

The College also offer payment plans to suit most students.

Study Options

The CIM Certificate in Professional Digital Marketing can be studied via intensive weekends combined with distance learning (blended learning), part-time weekly classes or through online distance learning.

Modules can be studied in any order. For class-based learning, students can start in September, January and May. Online distance learning can be started at any time.
