Course Structure

The Foundation Certificate in Professional Digital Marketing compromises of one mandatory and one elective unit and these can be studied in any order. The elective unit selected will determine the final qualification you receive.

The elective module in this qualification is assessed by a practical work-based portfolio. You will be assigned a personal tutor, who will support you to complete your portfolio. Your tutor will also provide you with feedback on both a plan and draft of your portfolio as well as answering any queries you might have.

The mandatory module is assessed by multiple-choice examination. We will help you prepare for the exam by asking you to submit homework as well as completing a mock exam.

Marketing Principles

Marketing Principles is the mandatory module for both the Foundation Certificate in Professional Digital Marketing and the Foundation Certificate in Professional Marketing. This unit provides students with the knowledge of basic marketing theory and practice. Students will develop an understanding of the marketing environment, consumer behaviour as well as the marketing mix.

The Marketing Principles module is assessed by a multiple-choice examination. This will require you to book your examination with the CIM at a local exam centre. For students wishing to take their exam outside of the UK, there may be an additional charge for this.

Digital Fundamentals

This module is an elective module for the Foundation Certificate in Professional Digital Marketing. Digital Fundamentals will provide students with a practical understanding of the key concepts in digital marketing. You will learn how digital technologies affect consumers as well as how digital tools and content can be implemented by organisations to meet changing consumer needs. This module is assessed by a digital portfolio (written assessment).

The cost of the Foundation Certificate in Professional Digital Marketing qualification starts from £280.00 per module for online distance learning and £470.00 per module for face-to-face classes. CIM membership or assessment fees are not included in this cost; however, access to study materials for 3 years in included in the price.

The College also offers payment plans to suit most students.

Study Options

The Foundation Certificate in Professional Digital Marketing can be studied through intensive weekends combined with distance learning (blended learning), weekly part-time classes or through online distance learning.

Modules can be studied in any order. For class-based learning, students can start in September, January and May. Online distance learning can be started at any time.
