Alex Hutson is a specialist in auditing businesses and quickly finding innovative and effective ways to increase their profitability on a solid foundation of metrics and attribution techniques.
When Alex left HMRC in 2008, he worked for Sussex Police as their VAT Manager whilst retraining in Public Relations. In 2009, he started working for the family PR business, Gossip PR where he could be seen regularly touting his fashion clients’ products to London journalists and celebs.
Alex later began to specialise in digital marketing in 2010 and in 2015 he started his own full-service digital agency, WebsiteAbility, after a year as Marketing & Communications Manager for The Freemasons’ Grand Charity.
Drawing upon his Psychology BSc training in research methodology, statistical analysis and behavioural psychology, and from his rigorous financial interrogation and risk analysis experience gained as a tax inspector, Alex has become a marketing metrics master. He will always find a way to monitor and measure the success of the marketing campaigns he supports clients with, whether it’s a website redesign/upgrade, email, conversion rate optimisation (CRO), search engine optimisation (SEO), PPC or social media campaigns.
Alex has been lecturing and providing assignment and exam support for Oxford College of Marketing since 2012.
