Alex Hutson is a specialist in auditing businesses and quickly finding innovative and effective ways to increase their profitability using inbound marketing with a solid foundation of metrics and attribution techniques.
When Alex left HMRC in 2008, he worked for Sussex Police as their VAT Manager whilst retraining in Public Relations. In 2009, he started working for the family PR business, Gossip PR where he could be seen regularly touting his fashion clients’ products to London journalists and celebs.
In 2010 Alex later began to specialise in digital marketing and in 2015 he started his own full-service digital agency, WebsiteAbility, after a year as Marketing & Communications Manager for The Freemasons’ Grand Charity.
Drawing upon his Psychology BSc training in research methodology, statistical analysis, and behavioural psychology, and from his rigorous financial interrogation and risk analysis experience gained as a tax inspector, Alex has become a marketing metrics master. He will always find a way to monitor and measure the success of the marketing campaigns he supports clients with, whether it is a website redesign/upgrade, email marketing, conversion rate optimisation (CRO), search engine optimisation (SEO), PPC management, or social media campaigns.
In 2017 Alex became a HubSpot Partner and following that he was officially recognised as an elite inbound marketing and sales specialist when he became a HubSpot Certified Trainer in 2018.
Alex has been lecturing and providing assignment and exam support for Oxford College of Marketing since 2012.
