Alison Cheeseman joined us in 2012, and works across multiple modules as one of our Senior Assessment Tutors.
Prior to this, Alison spent over a decade with the CIM as a Senior Examiner, where she coordinated her subject teams across different modules, as well as writing and marking CIM assessments and exam papers.
Whilst working at the CIM, Alison also worked as a Programme Leader and Senior Lecturer in Advertising , Marketing and PR for Lincoln University. For nearly 20 years, Alison managed and delivered Advertising , Marketing and PR degrees, including writing new degrees for the University.
Alison moved into academia following a career in industry in marketing, working in economic development and inward investment, as well as IT based companies. Alison also ran her family-owned engineering company for over a decade.
Alison is a fully qualified teacher, assessor and internal verifier, with a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE), and TDLB 32, 33 and 34. She also has a BA (Hons) Commerce and an MSc in Marketing. She is currently working towards a PhD, where she is researching the role of music in advertising, and the emotional connection that music makes between consumers and brands.
