Kara Stanford is an independent Strategic Marketing Consultant, focusing on helping SMEs review and analyse their marketing, then develop effective Strategic and Tactical Marketing plans.
She began her career at LloydsTSB, Business Banking, Marketing, working on a range of projects. These included: product research, development and launch; internal change management programmes; and working with other Marketing Teams to develop MarComms for product relaunches, promotion and sales.
Kara then moved to the public sector. As Avon Fire and Rescue Service’s first Marketing Manager, she pioneered the infant techniques of social marketing and implemented key Internal Communication strategies.
In 2006, she became a Business Consultant, working with over 20 organisations in the public and private sector. She used process improvement, performance management, learning and development and marketing and communication techniques to bring about organisational change.
Kara has run her own business, KMS Marketing, since 2012 and has been a tutor with OxCom since 2015. Kara is also a Chartered Marketer (CIM).
