Experienced former practitioner and university teacher of Public Relations at undergraduate and Masters level, with a 25-year record of supporting more than 2,000 future PR professionals on their way to career entry over a 25 year career. Fellow of the CIPR since 2021.
Skilled in Public Relations, corporate communication, creative brand strategy, ethics and personal/professional development. Areas of experience in PR practice include local government, media relations and arts (theatre) marketing.
Mel has been a tutor and course leader for CIPR qualifications from their initial launch in the 1990s to 2011. She currently tutors on CIPR Foundation, Certificate and Diploma courses for the Oxford College of Marketing, where she is also Course Level Manager for these programmes.

I started studying with Oxford College of Marketing in 2019 to complete my CIM Professional Marketing qualification. The support and advice I've had in that time has been second to none. The online platform is perfect for distance learning or gaining additional support around your face to face classes.
During the pandemic it has been a huge relief to have access to the online platform and support whenever I've needed it from the admin team or tutors. Without this, I wouldn't have been able to achieve a distinction in my Strategic Marketing module.
It's an excellent education service which I would definitely recommend.
