I spent the first part of my working life working for a variety of corporations, including ITT and Philips. Most of my jobs were either in Product Management or Corporate Strategy roles. After that, I set up an energy management company from scratch. I then moved into education and have worked – at one time or other – in around 30 countries and for a range of universities, including Durham, Surrey, Bradford, Liverpool, London, Wales and Ulster. I was educated at the Universities of Swansea, Durham, Lancaster and Heriot Watt.
Right now, my main role is as Academic Director at West London College, the London Centre of Oxford College of Marketing. I also hold a number of consultancy and Board positions.
I live in London with my partner, Helen, and two long-haired cats, Freddie and Poppy. Apart from traveling, we are keen supporters of the London theatre and arts scene, having been involved in a range of productions. We also have an interest in two race horses and I am trying reasonably hard to improve my piano playing!
