Apprenticeship Compliance Manager

Salary: £35,000 pa

Location: Oxford

Our client is an approved apprenticeship training provider that offers training and support for apprenticeships. The group successfully deliver apprenticeship training programmes in sales, marketing, project management, procurement and management. Their sales, marketing and management apprenticeships provide additional value to employers and apprentices through the inclusion of a recognised professional qualification as part of the programme.

The post holder will play a pivotal role in our new and growing apprenticeship programmes, taking full responsibility for its successful development and delivery.

Reporting to the management team this role will work closely with our employers and Prime Provider. They will support the design, development and implementation of all apprenticeship programmes. They will work with colleagues across the business to provide guidance to all internal/external stakeholders and colleagues who work with apprentices to help us identify key opportunities and drive the delivery of high-quality work-based learning programmes.

Managing the delivery of all aspects of our apprenticeship programmes as a priority, ensuring consistently high quality and compliance. Responsible for the allocation, monitoring, caseloads, volumes and success rates for all programmes. Ensure delivery against targets and KPIs.

The role will involve a high level of autonomy and require high levels of motivation and drive; as well as outstanding communication, relationship building and project management skills.

Main duties

  • To ensure the business achieves and maintains its status as a registered apprenticeship training provider
  • To act as our lead adviser on apprenticeships and to provide regular updates and presentations on apprenticeship performance and KPIs within the business.
  • to ensure the effective implementation of Government/ Subcontracting Contracts/ ILR collection and returns, through regular and accurate reporting and monitoring of data
  • To research and keep up to date with the latest developments in apprenticeships and liaise with key apprenticeship organisations i.e. the Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education (IFATE), the ESFA and the relevant awarding bodies
  • To evidence effective target setting and analysis of related data to inform quality improvement and action planning
  • To monitor the progress of learners, their outcomes and any interventions that are required
  • To ensure that quality systems, policies and processes are in place in line with the requirements of the regulators and that these are compliant with policy i.e. safeguarding
  • To ensure the business adhere to any legal requirements with regards to apprenticeships
  • To liaise with employers and other training providers to meet all necessary targets, which could include site visits to levy employers
  • To ensure high quality training provision through our quality systems and procedures including full compliance with ESFA funding rules
  • To ensure that employers are compliant with ESFA funding rules as well as assisting them in the management of their digital Apprenticeship Service account
  • To liaise with and respond to requests from the relevant regulatory bodies regarding apprenticeships i.e. Ofsted and ESFA
  • Support Internal Quality Assurance including additional auditing activities to ensure consistency across the company and the sharing of good practice

Minimum requirements for this role:

  • Good level of education at A Level, Degree level or Level 5 or above Management Qualification
  • This person must be able to work as part of a team and display appropriate leadership skills
  • Experience managing apprenticeship programs including development and evaluation
  • Significant experience of effective stakeholder and partnership working
  • Knowledge of the training cycle: design, delivery, and evaluation
  • Excellent planning and project management capabilities
  • Strong communication (verbal and written) and relationship management skills

Financial Controller

Oxford Professional Education Group is a fast growing private education business, we are seeking a dynamic and proactive finance manager to take complete ownership of the finance department. You will be managing a small finance team and working closely with the Finance Director to ensure continued growth and success.

Key to the role will be a comprehensive ability to work proactively and lead the finance team. You will be a part qualified or qualified accountant or have equivalent experience as a financial controller. The role includes production of monthly management accounts, forecasting and budgeting and management of stakeholders The ideal candidate will be highly organised with excellent IT and systems skills. Working knowledge of CRM systems and Xero accounting software is highly desirable.

Main duties

  • To produce forecasts and budgets and report against these on a monthly basis
  • To ensure the business has accurate and timely management accounts through regular and accurate reporting and monitoring of data
  • To act as our lead adviser on KPIs within the business.
  • To ensure that quality systems, policies and processes are in place in line with the requirements of the business
  • To manage and mentor the finance team to ensure processing is accurate and credit control is maintained
  • To implement new systems as appropriate and merge as far as possible the finance data with that held on the CRM.
  • To produce yearly financial statements and liaise with external accountants
  • To liaise with and respond to requests from all divisions of the business
