ELCAS – Enhanced Learning Credits

What is ELCAS?

If you are a current or ex-military personnel, you may be able to claim financial aid to help cover the cost of your studies.

The Enhanced Learning Credit scheme can be used to fund up to 80% of the cost of your studies, providing you are studying an approved qualification at level 3 or above.

As an approved learning provider, many of our courses can be funded through the ELCAS scheme.
ELCAS – Enhanced Learning Credits Administration Services

The amount of funding you can claim is dependent on the number of years you have served in the armed forces.

Typically, funding is broken down into two tiers:

Lower Tier: If you have served at least 6 years in the armed forces, you are able to claim a maximum of £1000 per year (for up to 3 years). If you completed your 6 years’ service on/after 1st April 2016 you can claim a single payment of up to £3000.

Higher Tier: If you have served at least 8 years in the armed forces, you are normally able to claim a maximum of £2000 per year (for up to 3 years).

ReAct Redundancy Funding for Training

What is ReAct?

If you reside in Wales and have been made redundant or unemployed, you may be eligible for financial assistance towards gaining a professional qualification.

The ReAct programme is aimed at supporting individuals to gain new skills to overcome the barriers to employment and re-enter the workplace.

If you are looking to study a professional qualification with Oxford College of Marketing, you may be able to fund it through the ReAct scheme.
ReAct Plus Funding

To apply for ReAct funding, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Welsh resident
  • Right to live and work in the UK
  • Aged 16 +
  • Unemployed on or after 1st January 2020

If you meet the above criteria, you may be able to apply for a training grant of up to £1500 to use towards studying a professional qualification.
